Attack on Servicemembers’ Access to Abortion: Final Passage.

Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, H.R.8070. Final Passage. A bill to authorize funding for certain defense, military, and national security programs that bans payment or reimbursement for expenses related to abortion services.

(Some lawmakers who oppose reproductive freedom cast what appear to be votes in support of reproductive freedom; most observers recognize that those votes were cast for reasons unrelated to reproductive health.) A vote for reproductive freedom was against the bill.

This measure negatively impacts reproductive freedom.
